Take Flight at the Wilderness Resort
Located in the heart of the Wisconsin Dells, the Wilderness Resort is America's largest waterpark. Their family oriented attraction includes 4 indoor waterparks, 4 outdoor waterparks, golf courses, a spa, restaurants, and more.
This renowned destination announced a new attraction to open in 2020 -- Take Flight. Take Flight is an exhilarating flight simulation attraction where guests experience an aerial perspective of the United States' most prestigious landmarks and national parks. The "flying theater" is three-stories tall, with guests suspended in the air. An attraction this exciting requires the perfect experience from the moment you enter to the moment you leave -- that's where our team was brought in. Upon entering the space, guests are imediately transported to a new place. Signature motion-activated displays line the entry corridor giving guests digital windows into various national parks. In the lobby, planes fly overhead, building anticipation for what's to come. And before entering the ride, the park ranger has some fun walking guests through safety protocol. It's an experience unlike any other.
In addition to providing UX/UI design leadership on the interactive displays in the corridor, I was also in charge of many aspects of the pre-flight movie including concepting, storyboarding, screenwriting, casting, video production, and editing.
